I suspect this would also go hand in hand with an increase in cylinder/exhaust temperature at idle or whenever the EGR valve is normally open. Whenever I took it to the dealer for something and I had the box on, they would always give me the report stating the the fuel rail pressure was too low but did not know what was causing it.
